Bridges - What's New and How we Beat the Computer

Recent projects from around the world - including Urban Superway in Adelaide - and a discussion on how we can show the new generation of bridge engineers that they do not need a computer to design a bridge.
The Speaker: Bernard completed his engineering training in NZ and in France and is currently a Principal Consultant – Transportation, and a Project Director for rail project advice, bridge design, construction engineering and remedial engineering in GHD’s Melbourne office. He has extensive international experience and is the Public Officer of the Australian French Association for Science and Technology (AFAS), a Victorian Committee member of the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) and a Past Chairman of the Victorian Branch of the Association of Consulting Engineers Australia (Consult Australia).
