Project Management for Tomorrow’s Infrastructure

There is a worldwide demand for $57 trillion of infrastructure in the next 20 years. The lecture will examine how we learn from the past to ensure that these projects can be delivered successfully. 
Sir John will speak on the importance and role of infrastructure investment and the built environment, the lessons he has drawn from his experience in this area, and give an overview of the independent review of long term infrastructure planning he is conducting on behalf of the Labour Party in the UK.
Sir John is the Vice President for International, Institution of Civil Engineers, Chairman of City & Guilds and the Olympic Delivery Authority, a post he has held since September 2007
Sir John was previously Chief Executive of Network Rail from October 2002 and Chief Executive of Railtrack plc from December 2001. He has extensive experience in the building, civil engineering and industrial construction markets.
