Jon Mirtschin from Geometry Gym will present and demonstrate trail blazing efforts in digital model exchange and generation for structural engineering.

Our speaker is Jon Mirtschin from Geometry Gym.

Jon will present and demonstrate trail blazing efforts in digital model exchange and generation for structural engineering.  This will include Structural Analysis and Building Information Modelling utilizing graphical programming environments such as Grasshopper as applied on projects such as Abdul-Aziz Centre for World Culture and IStructE Supreme Award winning projects Infinity Bridge (2009) and the 2012 Olympic Games Velodrome (2011).

Jon received his Bachelor of Engineering/Science from the University of Melbourne majoring in Structural Engineering and Computer Science. He worked as a structural engineer for Connell Wagner (Eureka Tower, MCG redevelopment and Wembley Stadium) and Expedition Engineering in London (2012 Velodrome, Infinity Footbridge) before founding Geometry Gym Pty Ltd. Geometry Gym develops BIM software.
